Datca is a small charming town located in Muğla on the Mediterranean and Aegean coast of Turkey. This region is known for its virgin natural beauty and provides a calm alternative away from stress for the visitors. The heart of the town is the port, which host numbers of yachts and it´s very easy to reach to islands Rhodes and Symi in Greece.
Both the town and the peninsula are called as Datca which elongate to the west at the point where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean, facing the tiny Greek island of Symi. The ruins of the ancient Carian city of Knidos stand at the end of the peninsula. Knidos is one of the largest ancient cities which was famed for its temple of Aphrodite but it makes it amazing that Its location right on the edge of the water. It was an important center of art and culture in the 4th century.
Charming Old Datça has been lived up in recent years, with its whitewashed houses having gardens full of colorful flowers in the narrow, chic bars, restaurants and boutique hotels. The coast itself stretches about 100 km and decorated with pristine bays and coves. some of them are mostly preferred by the yachts as it is not affected by the wind like Bencik Bay, Kargi Bay.
Datça is known the second best place in the world with its high rate of oxygen in the air. Average of temperature is 35 degrees during summer season.
