NORTH DALMATIAN ROUTE: Split -Zadar - Split

DAY 1: SPLIT – TROGIR

Check in at 17:00 pm. In Split. Settling in cabins; welcome drink.  You will sail out to Trogir which will take about 2h of navigation. Dinner will be served on board. Evening is free for visit the town of Trogir.

Welcome to the pearl of the Adriatic. Trogir is a beautiful ancient town under UNESCO protection, is situated on a small island. Old centre of Trogir is a mix of Renaissance and Baroque styles was founded in the 2nd Century BC.

At the heart of the old town, you’ll find the majestic cathedral of St. Lawrence, one of the most impressive in the Adriatic. The bell tower of the cathedral built in 13th century offers a stunning view. You have time to explore this fascinating city of the narrow streets at your leisure.

 


DAY 2: TROGIR – SKRADIN – ŠIBENIK

Start the morning with fresh-baked breakfast on board then you will sail out to Skradin. It is a romantic Mediterranean town is situated at the right bank of the Krka river and hides its preserved beauty in a natural bay until now. While arriving to Skradin you will be welcomed by beautiful swans swimming all around your boat.

Its history goes back two thousand years. The entire town of Skradin is a protected cultural heritage monument. with narrow cobblestone streets, passageways, arches and stairs. With its beauty, Skradin attracted many civilizations in history and was dominated by ancient Liburnians, Romans, Goths, Venetians and Turks.

Krka National park is only a few kilometers northeast of the Šibenik. This park is known for a large number of lakes and a series of 7 waterfalls. With its 242 m drop in altitude and the travertine waterfalls as the fundamental marvel. You can swim in crystal clear waters of the Krka river within one of the most beautiful scenery in Croatia.

For evening you will departure to Šibenik. This beautiful town is known as the oldest native Croatian town dated in 1066. Sibenik is unique city which has two UNESCO listed heritage sites St. James Cathedral and St. Nicholas fort. Cathedral are beautiful masterpieces of Venetian art built in the 15th century. It is famous for its 71 unknown human portrait sculptures that surround outside walls. Šibenik is full of history: It is sometimes called the city of fortresses. Fortresses are a key symbol of the town. there are so many monuments and locations to be seen.


DAY 3: ŠIBENIK – NP KORNATI

After breakfast you will sail out to the National Park Kornati (4h navigation). Kornati islands archipelago, consists of 89 unforgettable islands, islets and reefs. There are no permanent settlements on the island, but some fishermen and farmers have temporary houses on the island.

It is the bluest corner of the Adriatic. With its Stunning combination of grey stone and crystal-clear blue waters, numerous inlets, bays and small ports, Kornati are a must-see destination for boaters.

George Bernard Shaw fell in love with the group of islands and said: “On the last day of Creaton God desired to crown His work, and thus created the Kornat islands out of tears, stars and breath.”

The Kornati islands NP is often mentioned as “nautical paradise” in tourist publications, with its natural beauty, numerous coves and crystal-clear blue waters, it’s easy to see why.


DAY 4: NP KORNATI – ZADAR

After breakfast, you will sail a little bit more to the north and spend lunch in another beautiful bay. A day of nature and complete relaxation prepares you well for Zadar.

Zadar is Situated in the heart of the Adriatic Sea. The coast of Zadar is particularly indented, the islands and the untouched nature allures many yachts to this region. The archipelago counts 24 bigger and about 300 smaller islets, 3 nature parks and 5 National parks

Zadar is second largest town and center of northern Dalmatia as administrative, economic, cultural and political center of the region.

This 300 years old ancient Mediterranean port city has a rich history. The old town, surrounded by walls and towers from Roman times. Bridge is a symbol of the city connects the old town on a peninsula, with a new urban part. Another symbol of the city is the church of St. Donatus from the 9th century built on the remains of the ancient Roman Forum.

Zadar is also known for its beautiful sunsets. Famous film director Alfred Hitchcock claimed to have seen the most beautiful sunset in the world right here in Zadar. Also enjoy the symphony of the Sea Organ and magical urban light installation Greeting the Sun near the new harbour for cruise ships.

 

 


DAY 5: ZADAR – MURTER

After breakfast you will sail out and the captain will find another beautiful bay for you to swim, sunbathe, relax and enjoy the morning.

After lunch and two hours of navigation, you will sail to the island Murter. The locals of Murter are the owners of almost all Kornati islands and neighboring islands. Murter is very attractive because of its proximity to one of the most beautiful national parks Kornati islands.

The town of Murter is surrounded by three hills, on the hill of Gradina, there are remains of Roman buildings, the ancient Colentum settlement.  Island Murter is one of the best choices who look for a place with a relaxed atmosphere and magnificent nature. Murter is known for pebble beaches and hidden coves. We recommend you explore them and get relax in untouched nature. Swim and sunbathe on private beautiful beaches and enjoy beautiful sunsets – sunrises.


DAY 6: ZADAR – ROGOZNICA

After a relax morning in some beautiful bay (and lunch) you will sail out to Rogoznica.

Rogoznica is a small fisherman town located on a peninsula that was a long time ago a small island. It is well known as one of the most beautiful and safest ports in this part of the Adriatic because it is located in a deep bay sheltered from the winds.

Rogoznica is popular with Adriatic yachts people in the know and tourists looking for a quiet hideaway. Its pebbly beaches, tranquil, old stone houses and some good eating options what make so special the town. It also has one of the best climates in Croatia, with more sunny days per year than most other coastal communities.

After a long walk by the sea and in the beautiful pine woods we suggest you visit Lake Dragon’s eye, a natural phenomenon located next to Marina Frapa. This lake, filled with salt water, is considered to be a natural bioreactor.


DAY 8 – SATURDAY: ŠOLTA-SPLIT

Gather for one final breakfast on your yacht, followed by goodbyes with your crew before they see you off in Split. Your disembarkation is at 9:00 AM.

If you decided to stay on Šolta your last night, enjoy the last sailing towards Split early morning.


DAY 7 – FRIDAY: MURTER – ŠOLTA (OR SPLIT)

After breakfast, your captain will take you a picturesque bay on island Šolta where you’ll sunbath, relax and swimming in the crystal-clear waters.

Lunch will be served in nature, surrounded by a song of crickets and crystal blue waters and you will feel as if you have your own private peace of heaven on Earth. After lunch, you will sail to a bay close to the small town of Nečujam on island Šolta.

In the evening you can visit town and enjoy local cuisine at the restaurant. Nečujam is a nice bay and one of the youngest towns on the island Šolta. You can escape from the crowds and find peace on one of eight most beautiful bays on the island. You can visit Piškera bay, was named after Latin word for fish as this bay was a private fishing pond of Roman emperor Diocletian. In the depths of bay Pišekra. you can see even today ruins of this complex. Enjoy peace and quiet all day long.

On your last night, depends on your wish, your boat will be anchored at the silence of some hidden bay or you will sail out towards Split after lunch and enjoy your last moments of enthralling nature of Adriatic bays. If you will spend your last night in Split is one of the oldest cities in this area, considered to be 1 700 years old. Roman emperor Diocletian built a Palace, which is now under UNESCO protection. Today, the Palace is still home to many residents and to major historical buildings.

Our suggestion is having a sightseeing of Diocletian Palace and feel the magic of this place. If you still have some time, visit Green and Fish market – perfect place to catch a bit of local spirit!
